Statement of Faith

This is what we believe.

THE BIBLE

The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and without error in the original documents. The Bible has supreme authority and is trustworthy in all matters of faith and practice.

GOD

God is one GOD, eternally existing in 3 persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is both creator and sustainer, while being intimately involved in His whole Creation. He hears us, sees us, and desires that we love Him.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, is both fully man and fully God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life. He suffered and died, paying the penalty for our rebellion, so that we can be reconciled to God. He rose bodily from the dead on the third day and ascended into heaven as our advocate. Jesus will personally return to earth to gather His followers and judge all of humanity.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit was given by the Father and the Son to regenerate, indwell and empower all who trust in Jesus. He encourages, teaches, guides, and convicts us of sin. He is God with us, all the time.

SALVATION

We believe that God originally created male and female in His image and free from sin. The first persons disobeyed God and corrupted the human race. As their descendants and by our choices, we are spiritually dead. By admitting our condition, turning from our sin, and trusting in Jesus as Savior and Lord, we are SAVED by His grace! Then the Holy Spirit is given to us, to guide, indwell, and empower us as we allow Jesus to live through us.

THE CHURCH

The Church is a loving community of broken people, who have trusted their lives to Jesus Christ. They desire to live in His Kingdom by being apprentices of what He said and did; and they want to allow Him, to live His life through them by the power of the Holy Spirit. Through Jesus alone, we have access to unity with one another and we can experience the joy, peace, and fellowship of being the body of Christ.
